Basel went on his first vacation to Sugar Hill, NH, in the Franconia Notch and stayed at the Hilltop Inn. Basel had a fabulous time meeting the Herns (the wonderful inn keepers and their family), Buttercup and her parents Diane and Doug, (also guests). Basel played with Buttercup in the yard each morning until everyone had their breakfast. 
Afterward, he'd take Steffen and Nancy exploring the 50 acres adjacent to the inn, playing in the meadows and following the trails through the woods, and over the little brook. He had a blast!
He asked if we can go back again very soon. He wants to resume his "chef lessons" in the kitchen with Meri and Mike!
Basel did a little hiking.....
