Is this for me?

Basel asking Peggy if it counts if just front paws are on the couch?

Basel says "WOW"

Basel still just sniffing the big dinosaur bone, thinking "Is this really for me?". Basel, the Saver. Basel can make a bully stick last for weeks...this big giganto bone will be here 'til spring!

2010 GSMD National Show in Springfield, IL

Lori and Basel in the ring at the GSMD National this May,in Springfield, IL. Kristin and Shea are right next to Lori and Basel. The judge lined all the handsome boys up around the outer ring, then had the ladies fill in the center. What an amazing sight. (Please excuse the lacking photo quality....our little pocket camera just wasn't the device for this indoor show, but we had so much fun, its still fun to look back on the pics....so here goes):

Haley is in the center with the beautiful miss Moxie.

Basel meets the judge

Examination by the judge

Basel keeping cool between rounds with a nice icy Kool Coat. It was humid and probably in the 90's. Before it finally rained, we had to keep moving the dogs from their crates back outside to get them into the AC in the car to cool down.

Kristin with our handsome friend, Shea, keeping cool in his Kool Coat.

Lining up to enter the ring

There were so many swissies, the judge broke them out into four smaller groups.

Basel and his lovely half-sister Oola, taking a break in their crates.

The next competition was for Basel's mama. Frida, the Brood Bitch, shows side by side with her girl Oola and her boy Basel, to show the amazing consistency of her lovely puppies from different litters. With such a lovely mama and such handsome offspring, it was no surprise to see Frida take home the title!

Lori and Frida, with Pam and Oola, then Kristin and Basel.
